GOOD MORNING, HOLY SPIRIT

Biblical Text: “ With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. [Isaiah 26:9]

The story is told about a little boy who was flying a kite. It was a windy day, and the kite kept going higher and higher. Finally, it got so high that it was out of sight. A man passed by and saw the little boy holding onto the string. The man could not see the kite, and he asked the boy, How do you even know you have a kite up there? The boy replied, Because I can feel it. Although, we cannot see the Holy Spirit, we should be able to sense His work in our lives changing us into the image of Christ. The Holy Spirit is a person. Though, you cannot see Him, your sensitivity to the things of the Spirit, makes you feel His presence. As a child of God, we must recognize the importance of the Holy Spirit in our lives; He wants to lead us, teach us, guide us and comfort us. The more we give Him recognition, the more we feel His manifestation in our lives. Creating time in the morning to consciously fellowship with the Holy Spirit draws you closer to Him and His works. The only hindrance to enjoying the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit is sin. Run away from sin.

PRAY IT ∞ Holy Spirit, I consciously welcome you into my life, take the stirring wheel.

PROCASTINATION

Biblical Text: “ *Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth and thy want as armed man”.* [Proverbs 6:10-11]

The sound of birds singing woke John from his bed; he had to go to school as he had a project submission on that particular day. John did not complete his project and this wasnt the first time he hadnt submitted his project on time. John entered the classroom and found that everyone submitted their project. Teacher asked, submit your project; as usual, John came up with an excuse, I had a serious headache the other night and I could not complete the work. Please give me an extension. The teacher replied, I will give you an extension on one condition; you have to submit the past two projects along with the present one tomorrow! Tomorrow, John exclaimed; Yes, tomorrow, the teacher replied. Imagine if John had completed his projects, he would not have been burdened with a lot of work at the same time. Procrastination is an act of delaying or putting off a task habitually or intentionally. The major cause of procrastination is laziness and doubt. God frowns at people who procrastinate. Jesus worked while it is day because He knew that at night, no man can work. Procrastination is a thief of personal effectiveness. Successful people do not postpone the task of today for tomorrow. To overcome procrastination; set goals for the day and try to complete them.

ANOTHER CHANCE

Biblical Text: *I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, not yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill but time and chance happeneth to them all. [Ecclesiastes 9:11]*

Johnson had to leave for work! Before leaving he hurriedly looked at the newspaper and stood still! Is he seeing it right? He rubbed his eyes and saw againyes, he was mistaken. It was his name in the obituary! He threw the paper in the bin and screamedbut no one answered! Johnson started to recollect, he had a chest pain and was rushed to the Hospital. Then he went into a sound sleep. But what happened? Suddenly, he saw the room filled with people.all in tears; his mom, wife, children and friends. He shouted but no one could hear his voice; He had so much to tell everyone but they could not hear him. Johnson started crying and pleading to God for one last chance! God, one last chance, please shouted Johnson and opened his eyes. Oh, it was a dream! God has given us a brand new 365 days to make better choices, set godly goals, correct our past mistakes and live a better life. We must not repeat the errors of the past years, we must see this year as another chance God has given us. It is never too late to make amends, you have never gone too far for God to redeem you, restore you, forgive you and give you another chance. You have it already, why not call on Him today.

*PRAY IT* ∞ Father, help me to maximize every moment of this year. I decree, I will not waste this year in Jesus Name.
